Courage of A Child
Lord give me the courage of a child who's been abused
and testifies
Lord give me the courage of a child who knows neglect
and still sees through trusting eyes
Oh Lord who gives such courage to a child,
help me to know what to do and what to say,
before another helpless victim slips away
help us to make a world where children
do not have to be so brave.

Lord give me the wisdom of a child
who sees beyond their few brief years
Lord give me the wisdom of a child
who can forgive when they’re finished with their tears
Oh Lord Who gives such wisdom to a child
help us all to see through younger eyes
And learn to listen for the warning of their cries
Help us make a world where children don’t have to hear so many lies.

Oh Lord how have we gotten so far gone
that our own children are allowed to be profaned?
Oh Lord how have we gone so far along
that we sacrifice our children in our pain?
Oh Lord give me the courage of a child
to find what I can do and I can say
Before another helpless victim slips away,
help us to make a world where children do not have to be so brave.

Don't Tell Me You Love Me Again
Our days of romance were woven in dreams  As we set out to make life as one
But dreams only come true in the little things we doand everyday chores must be done

So don’t you tell me you love me again,  you know that faith without works is sin,
you come and you go, you do nothing to showthat your words are any more than just wind
So don’t you tell me you love me again

From not earning our bread to never making the bed,  to not helping get the children to school
from never asking what I think, down to not fixing the sink,  your lack of attention is cruel

The words of a wise man are few,  and real life may require more than you knew
but your actions must prove your devotion and put flesh on the bones of emotion
     So don’t you, don’t you, don’t you
don’t you tell me you love me again,  you know that faith without works is sin,
you come and you go, you do nothing to showthat your words are any more than just wind
So don’t you tell me you love me again
